ABIZ 1.0: the open standard
A provider-independent way to discover a business's public information from a domain it controls.
What it defines
A DNS TXT pointer at _abiz.yourdomain.example, a structured business record at an HTTPS address, and validation rules for the publisher and consumer.
A valid ABIZ link is not proof that a company is legally registered, trusted or recommended by an AI provider.
Two example record types
Registered business: a country-based hosted address and a registration key.
_abiz.harbourbikes.example. 300 IN TXT "v=abiz1;k=us-OR123456;h=harbour-bike-repair.or.us.to.co"Unregistered business: a town-based .biz.to.co address with no registration key.
_abiz.marketstand.example. 300 IN TXT "v=abiz1;h=market-stand-repairs-portland.biz.to.co"These are different fictional businesses, not two records published at the same DNS owner. ABIZ works with any conformant host, not just to.co.
Record requirements
The record MUST validate against the normative ABIZ JSON Schema, served as JSON over HTTPS. Registration fields are needed only for a registered business; MCP links are optional.
